We lost a great man, August 7, 2024. James "Jimmy" Richards dedicated much of his life to public service, particularly in fire safety and emergency response. He began his career as a young volunteer with the Baden Volunteer Fire Department and later joined the Prince George’s County Fire Department as a professional firefighter. Most of his career was spent at the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department, where he was honored with the the Meritorious Service Award from the Clinton VFD.

We at the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department are deeply honored to take part in Jimmy's memorial. As a tribute to his legacy, we'll be bringing the 1967 Clinton Ford Pumper—one of the very first engines Jimmy was entrusted to drive as a firefighter.
