| Most people don’t realize how many house fires start with something as simple as dryer lint. Cleaning the lint trap and dryer vent only takes a minute, but it can make a real difference.
Lint buildup can lead to a dryer fire if it’s not cleaned regularly.
• Clean the lint filter before or after each load. • Make sure the outdoor vent flap opens when the dryer is running. • Have a qualified service person clean the inside of the dryer cabinet and exhaust duct once a year.
